Creativity – The Key to a Free Lifestyle

Creativity!

Most of us love that feeling of being one with our creative muse: be it when we write, paint, sculpt, think, plan or even daydream.

Why? It makes us feel good about ourselves! And feeling good about oneself is a definite part of freedom – if not the whole of it Charm bracelet! When you are in that creative zone you are free.

When we are in this zone – we feel good about the world and our place in it. We are happier, we make better decisions Tiffany 1837 Loop pendant, we are more productive and well – we are just truly more creative. And this feeling of true creativity is like the oft wished for state of nirvana. We are truly and deeply happy.

Some feel we can reach a state of happiness or creativity via drugs [legal or illegal] – but this is not true happiness and it is rarely a state of creativity.

Yes Elsa Peretti Teardrop drop earrings, I know some who claim they are more creative on certain drugs, but that is a creativeness seen too often only in the mind of the person saying it. Drugs tend to produce what can be seen as “false happiness.” Like a botox smile, it becomes a never changing facade.

As humans, we change. We smile, we cry, we frown – because we have a wide range of emotions we can exhibit. And our creativity allows us to express all these emotions – and more – because we have the freedom to do so.

Conditions for creativity are to be puzzled; to concentrate; to accept conflict and tension; to be born everyday; to feel a sense of self. Erich Fromm

Creativity and freedom go hand in hand.

Getting and keeping that spark or feeling of creativity requires some work on our parts. As Fromm noted, to be creative, we have to accept conflict and tension and those are the aspects kept at bay by false happiness. And false happiness keeps us a prisoner of our feelings instead of allowing us to be free Return to Tiffany heart lock charm and bracelet!

The work we need to do is to be honest with ourselves:

  • to allow ourselves to think impossible thoughts, to laugh and embrace tension and conflict and then to use this to be create and to be free
  • to stop the self-censoring of our own ideas and to stop allowing others to criticize or demean what we are thinking or creating

We are all creative beings.

We are all capable of being free.

We need to unlearn much of what we were taught by persons who thought they knew us better than we knew ourselves.

How To Counter Their Effects And Make Your Skin Look Younger

Sagging and wrinkles could be very frustrating because they make us look old; however Charm bracelet, you can prevent and even reverse them if you take care of the skin aging factors. So, this article is going to tell you how to delay or remove the visible signs of aging.

One of the major skin aging factors is loss of collagen Elsa Peretti Open Heart charm, which happens as you get older; collagen is produced in the human body, but that production wanes with age, thereby leading to loss of elasticity and the accompanying sagging and wrinkling.

So, in order to tackle this problem of collagen shortage, you need an anti-aging skin cream that will help boost the level of this vital protein in your body. Creams that contain collagen do not work because collagen particles are too big to be absorbed into the body when rubbed on the skin.

The good new is, there are some cutting-edge natural ingredients that help the body to manufacture this substance naturally. Cynergy TK is a functional keratin that is clinically proven to stimulate elastin and collagen production in the body; it increases elasticity of the skin by 42% in only 18 days. Free radicals from the UV rays of the sun are other skin aging factors; they damage the cells and make the skin age faster than it should. Hence, you need a cream that has antioxidants proven to counter the effects of free radicals; Nano-lipobelle HEQ10 is an effective type of COQ10 and it is known for its ability to gobble up free radicals. It also helps to reverse the visible signs of aging, thereby making the skin youthful, smooth and glowing.

Another skin aging factor is low amount of hyaluronic acid; this is as a result of the activities of hyaluronidase enzyme. To check-mate, the actions of hyaluronidase enzyme and prevent the depletion of hyaluronic acid, your anti-aging skin cream should contain Phytessence Wakame; this special Japanese sea weed works as a protective shield for hyaluronic acid in the body.

Other skin aging factors include smoking Return to Tiffany Round tag pendant, binge drinking and unhealthy diets; so, you will do your skin a lot of good if you avoid these vices and adopt a healthy lifestyle. Jewelry Creations on Central Avenue is putting together a special Father’s Day project to send goods to local servicemen and women overseas.

Owner Linda Hagan is asking her customers to bring selected items to the store at 388 Central Ave. through July 2 that will be sent to troops as part of care packages to be sent by Rochester nonprofit group We Care Packers. The full list of items is available at the store but they include summer items like sunscreen, flip flops, body lotion, Frisbees and foods like nuts, granola bars, and powdered drinks among many others.

Hagan said this project started after Jewelry Creations staged a Mother’s Day giveaway where military moms were given a free bracelet. One of those moms was Dorothea Lashua, operator of We Care Packers and mother of Army Cpl. Andrew Manning, who has served two tours in Iraq.

"She sent me this really nice card, thanking me," said Hagan. "She mentioned her company in the card, and it gave me the idea to send a package for Father’s Day."

We Care Packers has sent more than 3,000 packages to local deployed military members and has assisted more than 200 local soldiers and their families. Every other month, charm bracelet, they send the packages to the soldiers and the cost of the shipping is paid entirely by Rochester VFW Post 1772.

"We wouldn’t be able to do what we do without the support of local businesses, christmas bracelets," said Lashua, who added We Care Packers has sent 130 care packages in 2010 alone.

"The wars aren’t really on the forefront of people’s minds right now," Lashua said. "We’ve just had over 700 deploy from the state of New Hampshire alone. We need to do what we can to help them."

There are currently around 40 servicemen and women from the local area deployed overseas, said Lashua, but that number can "change in a heartbeat." In addition to the care package items, tiffany cufflinks, participants can also write letters of encouragement to the soldiers.

Hagan said customers who participate in the effort will have their name entered into a drawing to win a Swiss Army watch valued at $525.

"What I’ve found over the years is that people want to help but they don’t know how," said Hagan. "We wanted to send a package for over a year but we didn’t know how to get it there… People are really happy to do a small share that’s part of a whole so they can feel they’ve contributed."

All the names of the soldiers will be honored on the windows of the shop, christmas cufflinks, Hagan said.

More information on this project is available at the Jewelry Creations shop at 388 Central Ave.

Like a tightly knotted rope, mourning, money and madness twisted through the lives of Abraham and Mary Todd Lincoln.

On Friday, Cowan’s Auctions in Cincinnati will sell what is perhaps the largest cache of Lincoln family memorabilia to surface in years. The 24 lots, sure to interest collectors, museums and libraries, include a Mathew Brady photograph of the president that was Lincoln’s favorite likeness of himself, charm bracelet, stunning women’s jewelry, two pocket watches and two pieces of official Lincoln White House china. There’s also a cabinet card of John Wilkes Booth, a New York Times edition reporting Lincoln’s assassination and three images of Mary Todd Lincoln.

But the prize for scholars are three documents that form a paper trail of the 1875 arrest and confinement of Mary Todd Lincoln to a private sanitarium called Bellevue Place in Batavia, Ill. Included are her arrest warrant, commitment decree and a register that notes her arrival. Her only surviving son, Robert T. Lincoln, initiated the involuntary commitment, creating a rift that never healed.

Found in the 1930s in the asylum’s basement by the building’s second owners, the records were kept for decades by their Kentucky descendants. Their estimated sale price is $8,000 to $10,000.

Jason Emerson, author of "The Madness of Mary Lincoln," published in 2007, said in a telephone interview that this is "the first time documents associated with her commitment to a sanitarium have gone up for auction."

The lots in Friday’s auction, christmas tiffany set, he added, "may in fact, be one of the last great caches of verified Lincoln family materials not currently housed in a museum."

An item likely to bring a high sales price is a carte de visite photograph of Abraham Lincoln taken in 1864 by Brady. Its estimated price is $10,000 to $20,000. Lincoln autographed the picture on its bottom edge. Brady is probably the best known of Civil War-era photographers.

Mrs. Lincoln loved jewelry and bought it often, either for herself or as a gift. The auction includes a dazzling amethyst and diamond bracelet, a pear necklace, pearl earrings and a diamond necklace. The pieces were either worn by Mrs. Lincoln or her daughter-in-law, Mary E. Harlan Lincoln.

For more than a century, scholars have debated two views of Mrs. Lincoln. Was she truly suffering from bipolar disorder and her son, Robert T. Lincoln, who feared for her life, had her committed against her will to protect her from suicidal impulses? Or was she a sane, grief-stricken woman victimized by a chauvinistic, patriarchal society that acted in vain to hide her embarrassing behavior and prevent a stain on the Lincoln legacy? Some scholars believe her son was motivated by money and political ambition when he had his mother committed. Others are certain that he did the right thing.

A collection of documents scholars call the "insanity file" is at the Indiana Historical Society in Indianapolis, Mr. Emerson said. Robert T. Lincoln, the author said, "sought to collect and destroy every letter that she wrote during what he called her ‘period of mental derangement.’ "

Her son believed that period ran from April 14, 1865, the day his father was assassinated (he died the next day), through May 1875, the month he committed his mother against her will. Her son kept the documents, tied up with a pink ribbon, in the bedroom closet at Hildene, his summer home in Manchester, xmas jewelry, Vt.

"Some people have theorized, and I agree, that he did it because he knew that history would justify that what he did was correct," Mr. Emerson said.

In 2005, Mr. Emerson located descendants of Frederic N. Towers, a longtime lawyer for Robert T. Lincoln. Mr. Towers’ daughter, Judy Reemtsma, had what scholars call the lost insanity letters of Mary Todd Lincoln. Historians had searched in vain for them for nearly a century.

The widowed First Lady wrote 20 of the letters. Two came from suffragist Myra Bradwell of Chicago and one from her husband, James. The Bradwells, who were close friends of Mrs. Lincoln, lobbied for her release. One letter was written by Dr. R.J. Patterson, who founded and ran Bellevue Place and another by Elizabeth Edwards, Mary Todd Lincoln’s sister. This collection was donated to the Library of Congress.

James Cornelius is curator of the Lincoln Collection at the Lincoln Presidential Library & Museum in Springfield, Ill.

The documents, Mr. Cornelius said, are of "substantial interest to the Mary Lincoln field and of moderate interest to the Abraham Lincoln field."

The library, he added, cannot afford, in these dire economic times, to bid on the memorabilia. "I’m glad the material exists. I hope that some day the public will get to see it or read about it in detail."

Typically, mental health records are private, Mr. Cornelius said. But, sometime in the 1920s or 1930s, an Illinois judge who had legitimate access copied the transcript of Mary Todd Lincoln’s insanity trial and donated it to the Lincoln presidential library long before the state passed its privacy law covering mental health records.

"So, people may read that transcript today because there is this obvious exception that the state has made for a historic and really long dead person, such as Mary Lincoln, who has no direct living descendants. Her last great-grandson died in 1985," Mr. Cornelius said.

In 1875, the year Mrs. Lincoln was committed, Illinois was one of only two states that required a public trial when a person’s sanity was questioned.

"A son or a husband could legally put away a woman with a doctor’s or judge’s agreement. She had no legal recourse," he said.

As a result of the Illinois law, "That’s why we have the trial record — just plain luck and/or progressive thinking that we know so much about her condition."

Mr. Cornelius concluded that, "The revelation of private records concerning Mary Lincoln is — I’m going to go out on a limb here — we have Robert Lincoln, her son, to thank for this. He could have put her in a state institution at no cost to himself. Instead, christmas bangle, at considerable cost, he put her in a private institution. That’s why these records are available now."

Family requests those who want to return them follow procedure

Hundreds, if not thousands, of people have worn POW/MIA bracelets carrying the name of Capt. Scott Speicher, the Cecil Field-based Navy pilot shot down on the first day of Operation Desert Storm, cheap tiffany, Jan. 17, 1991.

Speicher was the last unaccounted for of 49 American service members listed by the Department of Defense as POW/MIAs in the first Gulf War.

Many Jacksonville residents and former classmates at Forrest High School held rallies through the years to keep the face of Speicher in front of congressional and military leaders to determine his fate. And many paid $20 or so for the half-inch wide anodized aluminum and stainless steel bracelets or miniature dog tags.

It has become a tradition to wear a POW/MIA bracelet or dog tag until the person named is accounted for or comes home. A lot of bracelet wearers want to return the memento to the family.

They are requested not to attempt to contact the Orange Park family directly but to use the following procedure:

Write a letter to the family, making sure to include a name and an address should they choose to respond.

Place the letter and the bracelet in an envelope, charm bracelet, write a return address, jewellery on sale, add the proper postage and send it to The Family of Capt. M. Scott Speicher, c/o Military Affairs Office, City of Jacksonville, 117 W. Duval St., Suite 175, Jacksonville, FL 32202.

Bob Buehn, the city’s military affairs officer, tiffany rings, said they will be given to the family. The bracelets also can be dropped off at the military affairs office on the first floor of City Hall.

For those outside of Jacksonville, they may write a letter to the family and place it and the bracelet in an envelope, tiffany pendants, seal it, write your return address, add the proper postage and address it as: To The Family of Capt. M. Scott Speicher. Then include that letter in a letter to the Navy Casualty Assistance Division, POW/MIA Branch (N135C), 5720 Integrity Drive, Millington, TN 38055-6210. Explain that the enclosed envelope contains a POW/MIA bracelet, and request it be forwarded to the family.

If the family does not want the bracelet, a spokesman for the division said it will be retained there and placed on periodic display.

Earring likely saved high school student from guns

The usual sound of teens chattering and lockers clattering was interrupted yesterday when a gunshot echoed through the halls of Communications Technology High School.

A 15-year-old sophomore who had smuggled a handgun into the school on Lyons Avenue near 82nd Street, Southwest Philadelphia — apparently because of a broken metal detector — accidentally fired the weapon about 10:15 a.m. when he tried to stuff the gun into his third-floor locker, police said.

The bullet torpedoed toward the neck a 16-year-old girl, who was standing inches away.

A lucky earring saved the day and, silver watch, possibly, the young girl’s life.

"The bullet struck a metal piece on the girl’s earring, key rings, causing it to break into pieces," said Lt. John Walker, silver necklaces, of Southwest Detectives. "The earring probably prevented the bullet from going into her body."

The girl’s neck was burned by gunpowder because she was so close to the shot, Walker said.

She fell when the shot rang out, thanksgiving bracelets, and later told police that she had gone temporarily deaf.

The teen was admitted to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia in stable condition.

The student with the gun darted off when a teacher walked out of her classroom and yelled at him, Walker said.

He returned moments later,Charm bracelet, although without the gun, and was taken into police custody.

The teen, whose name was not released, will face a litany of charges, including aggravated assault, firearms violations and recklessly endangering another person, Walker said.

The lieutenant said investigators believe that the teen found a .22- or .25-caliber gun on his way to school and decided to sneak it in the school. The gun had not been found as of last night.

Walker noted that the school was locked down once Philadelphia police arrived.

Fernado Gallard, a spokesman for the school district, said the school’s metal detectors "were down" from 7:25 a.m. until 8.

"If the metal detectors go down, [security guards] are supposed to use handheld wands to search the students," he said last night. "Right now, I don’t know if they did."

Gallard said the shooter would be suspended from school and could face expulsion.

KENT FAMILY FOUNTAIN IS BEAUTIFUL WELCOMING POINT

University of Southern Indiana issued the following news release:

The front entrance to the University of Southern Indiana now has a fountain with a 15-column water display and annual colorful flowers on a raised island in the center of a roundabout. The structure welcomes students, alumni, donors, friends, and visitors to USI.

Robert M. "Robbie" Kent Sr. provided a leadership gift to establish an endowment to benefit the academic programs of the University in perpetuity. The fountain is named the Robert M. Kent Family Fountain recognizing the generous support of the Kent Family to USI.

At the dedication in May, Kent said, "USI now has its own special front door or gateway. The fountain introduces the campus and creates a memorable and positive first impression for everyone. It adds energy as well as tranquility to the roundabout. The fountain directs students to the pathway of a vibrant, silver bracelet, creative, cultural, silver ring, and state-of-the-art center of higher education."

Kent said he found it ironic that 43 yeas ago he was standing with Dr. David Rice, silver key ring, the USI president and one of Kent’s mentors, on the gravel parking lot of the Centennial building, the first location to offer University classes, and four decades later he is involved in the dedication ceremony of one of the most impressive entrances of any university in America.

The roundabout opened in 2009, and it has made a significant improvement to the flow of traffic on campus. The fountain is an attractive addition to the entrance.

Facts about the Kent Family Fountain:

* The water jets will automatically adjust in height to the speed of the wind.

* The water in the fountain continually re-circulates at 657 gallons per minute through a centrally located tank.

* At night,Charm bracelet, 30 lights shine on the fountain. On special occasions colored lenses will be used to light the fountain with one-third red one-third,silver earrings, white and one-third blue in a display of the University’s colors.

Meet Merced’s most wanted running backs

Defenses in the Central Valley will be on high alert once again this season. Defensive coordinators can expect plenty of sleepless nights as they remain on the lookout for a cast of characters as scary as they are talented.,Charm bracelet

A group of running backs the Sun-Star has dubbed The Getaway Boys.

Merced County has always been fertile ground for star running backs through the years. The list of great backs in the history of Merced High alone reads longer than Eric DeAnda’s hair. The talent in the area hasn’t dried up. Last year 10 players eclipsed the 1,000-yard mark, watches, including three from Buhach Colony.

The names shouldn’t surprise you. Dos Palos’ Kevin Schofield and Los Banos’ Darron Brown have been on the loose for three years, terrorizing defenses from Sacramento to Bakersfield.

However, this group is more than a dynamic duo. This band of game-breakers is growing quickly.

DeAnda broke into the starting lineup midway through the season and quickly became a household name after his record-setting 307-yard, four-touchdown performance in a 33-30 win over Buhach Colony. Dallon Muse made a name for himself as part of BC’s three-headed monster, and Golden Valley’s Tyler Arnsberg is the newest member of the group as he makes the move from quarterback to running back this year.

Together the quintet combined for 6,necklaces,139 yards and 66 touchdowns. You can expect even bigger numbers this year. Opposing tacklers should approach with caution.

Darron Brown

"The Delivery Man"

What can Brown do for you?

The Delivery Man doesn’t need a signature to deliver a load. Brown comes into this season with something to prove after a lower back injury sidelined him for more than a month last year.

"I don’t even know how to explain it," Brown said. "I wanted to play so bad, but I couldn’t. There was nothing I could do.

"It hurt me so bad. It’s made me want to come back this year even stronger."

Brown broke on the scene with 835 yards and 10 touchdowns as a sophomore two years ago.

He was limited to just 685 yards and five touchdowns last season.

Brown missed his frequent trips to the end zone.

"Yeah, I missed it a lot,key rings," he said. "This year I plan to be in the end zone a lot. More than five or 10 times.

"It’s all up to my offensive line."

Kevin Schofield

"The Iron Horse"

One look at Schofield and you can tell he’s no stranger to the weight room.

Pumping iron is a necessity for the workload The Iron Horse is expected to shoulder this season.

Schofield set a school record with 51 carries in a 27-14 win over Yosemite last year.

His 305 carries were 130 more than any other player in the area.

"He’s a tough football player," Los Banos coach Dennis Stubbs said. "The guy can do it all. He’s so determined and has the drive, the right attitude.

"He plays full speed no matter what the situation. I’m just as impressed with him as a person, not only as a football player."

Schofield led the county with 1,926 yards.

It’s almost as if he can find another gear when he senses the defense is getting tired.

"You can kind of see it," Schofield said. "You see their hands on their knees. They’re walking back to the huddle.

"That’s when you try to break one."

Dallon Muse

"The Fuse"

This Fly Boy can definitely ignite an offense.

With Corey Chapman (1,546 yards and 19 touchdowns) out indefinitely for a school-related disciplinary issue, rings, Muse and teammate Jarrell Davis will be an even bigger part of the offense early on.

"When we evaluated him last year we felt because of all his contributions to their team he was their best player," Merced coach Rob Scheidt said. "Not only because of him running the ball, but also his play on defense and the intangibles he brings to their team.

"He’s a great football player."

Muse has that combination of power and speed that makes him tough to bring down.

"I used to be more of a scat back," Muse said. "Now I’m more of a mix.

I learned that speed isn’t always enough."

Eric DeAnda

"D-Train"

The nickname says it all.

DeAnda is built like a locomotive and isn’t afraid of contact.

"I like it," DeAnda said. "It’s kind of like a challenge. Is he going to bring me down or am I going to overpower him?"

If you look at the numbers you’ll see DeAnda rose up to the challenges.

He’s the ideal combination of power and speed. One play he’s powering his way through the line picking up tough yardage. The next he may be streaking around the end, outrunning linebackers and defensive backs.

Despite not starting until midseason, he still racked up 1,152 yards with 14 touchdowns on 135 carries.

BC coach Kevin Swartwood got a good look at DeAnda during his record-setting performance.

"I immediately thought he was outstanding," Swartwood said. "He ran hard. He hit the hole fast. He didn’t tire out. He’s a very good back."

Tyler Arnsberg

"Kid Zoom"

One look at Arnsberg’s cleats and you’ll understand why the Sun-Star has dubbed him Kid Zoom.

The GV junior had the word "zoom" embroidered on his cleats.

New Golden Valley coach Jake Messina is building his offense around Arnsberg.

Messina quickly identified Kid Zoom as the player he wants to carry the ball 15 to 20 times a game.

Arnsberg tallied 1,140 yards and 16 touchdowns on the ground as a quarterback in Golden Valley’s option attack last year.

This year he moves to tailback in a Pro Style offense.

"We want to hand him the ball, let him run downhill and give him a chance to make a cut," Messina said.

Arnsberg welcomed the change.

"I was basically another running back in the Veer anyway," Arnsberg said. "I threw the ball a little. Now running the ball is all I do. I’m real excited about the change."
